9. Chemical corrosion resistance and weatherability: PTFE bellow seal is hardly corroded by any chemical reagent except for molten alkali metals. For example, in concentrated sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid, even in the aqua boil, no change in the weight and performance, almost insoluble in all solvents, only more than 300 DEG C slightly soluble in the alkane (about 0.1g/100g). PTFE Bellow seal does not absorb moisture, does not flammable, and is very stable to oxygen and ultraviolet light, so it has excellent weatherability.
